'This shocking footage highlights why people are advised not to text and drive. <br /><br />This clip was recorded on Seth America's car's dashcam on August 22, 2018. Toward the end, a car heading in the opposite direction on a two-way street runs straight into a light pole, knocking it down as a result. <br /><br />Prior to the collision, it didn't appear as if the vehicle was out of the driver's control.
